TRUE FRIENDSHIP

True friends are like pure diamonds
Mined from the deepest part of a Russian mine
Like the purple mat flower of the desert
They are able to withstand tough situations
The love shared among them is strong
Greater than the winds of the desert
True friends adore each other more than
The hate that tries to break them
Their quarrels and squabbles are rough
But it’s the joy of reconciliation that binds them
Together as paper and cellophane tape
They become a beautiful whole
Though they walk as two different entities
I want to be with you, to be your sister
And friend, so I sing with you
“make new friends but keep the old
One is silver and the other is gold
A circle is round, it has no end
That’s how long I want to be your friend”
