This is a virtue that has been taught across all religions and can be
dated back to the start of the
world. To forgive means to do a lot within
yourself but the end result feels so soothing. It feels like starting life afresh
with no mistakes to correct.
To forgive is to let go of something that you have harboured in you
for long.
To forgive means to forget the past and move forward
To forgive is to look at the bright side of things from both angles
of the situation
To forgive is to see how best you maintain friendship with the offender
without shutting him/her outright.
To forgive means erasing the old pallet with love and writing on a
clean slate.
To forgive is proof to the
world that you are strong
To forgive means giving up hatred to get back the light and laughter
in your life
To forgive means making use of one of the most powerful resources
available to you
Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more
painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And
yet, there is no peace without forgiveness. (Marianne Williamson)
Sometimes it feels weird when you try to forgive but there is greater
joy in accepting the fact that there is more to life than holding on to things of
the past that are not of significant value in your future
Let us all learn to forgive at some point in life so the world sees as
strong. Mahatma Gandhi once said, ‘the weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is
the attribute of the strong’
